HOW TO MEASURE YOUR BRA SIZE

We work with the European measurement system: a NUMBER and a LETTER. 
Wij werken met het Europese maten systeem: een CIJFER en een LETTER.

STEP 1

Start with the NUMBER.
BAND MEASUREMENT / ONDER BORSTOMTREK = 2

Measure directly under your bosom. Place the tape measure around your torso, just under your bosom.
Check sideways in a mirror that the tape is level?? horizontal and straight around your body. Take a firm measurement.

Choose now your NUMBER (the closest):
65
70
75
80
85
90...

Example: 76cm =75  and 78cm =80 …

STEP 2

Calculate your cup size, this is the LETTER.

CUP MEASUREMENT / BORSTOMTREK = 1 
Measure around the fullest part of the bosom.
Check sideways in a mirror that the tape is horizontal and straight around the body.

Substract them.

CUP MEASUREMENT minus BAND MEASUREMENT = LETTER
BORSTOMTREK min ONDER BORSTOMTREK = LETTER

Use the table below:

AA = 10 cm
A  = 12,5 cm
B = 15 cm
C = 17,5 cm
D = 20 cm
E = 22,5 cm

These are the centimeters of difference between the cup measurement and the band measurement. 

STEP 3

COMBINE your letter and number! 
Combineer je cijfer en je letter!
75C or 80B or 70D …

Hoe kan het dat je soms een A cup hebt en soms een B? En soms een 75 en soms een 80?

Start steeds met de bovenstaande berekening.

Kom je uit op bijvoorbeeld 75B maar je onder borstomtrek was eigenlijk 77cm dan kan je er ook voor kiezen om het CIJFER 80 te nemen.
Dit wil zeggen dat de bh een grotere rugomtrek heeft dus dan gaat de bh zeker niet te hard spannen onder de borst. 
MAAR dat wil zeggen dat je dan je LETTER gaat moeten aanpassen.
Als je cijfer naar boven gaat, dan gaat je letter naar beneden. 
Dat wil zeggen dat je dan 80A neemt. 
De 80 is de borstomtrek, de A is de cupmaat. 
In de onderstaande tabel kan je dus gaan springen van de ene naar de andere maat 

OPGELET, als je 77cm onderborst hebt en een verschil van 17,5 cm met je borstomtrek dan kan je  gaan springen tussen 75C en 80B maar nooit naar 70D omdat die 70 voor een zeer smalle rug is en die heb je niet als je 77cm meet, dat is gewoon een veel te kleine bh aan de onderborst gemeten. 

In de andere richting

Je hebt 78 cm DUS 80 en borstomtrek 96,5. Dit wil zeggen dat je een 80C hebt. Maar je hebt liever dat de bh goed spant onder de borst dan ga je naar beneden met de cijfer en naar boven met je letter. Dit wil zeggen dat je een 75D neemt. 

Dus vertrek van die gemeten cm onderborst, dat is je leidraad! 

FRANSE BH MATEN

Heel makkelijk, ze tellen bij de onder borstomtrek 15 cm bij. Waarom? Geen idee…
Dus trek die 15 cm er eerst af en dan heb je de Europese maat.
Dit wil zeggen dat je dan in je lingerieschuif de volgende maten hebt liggen. 

     vb / 75B EU =  90B FR ( +15cm)
     80A EU =  95A FR ( +15cm)

How come you sometimes have an A cup and sometimes a B? And sometimes a 75 and sometimes an 80?

Always start with the above calculation.

For example, if you arrive at 75B but your under bust circumference was actually 77 cm, you can also choose to take the NUMBER 80. This means that the bra has a larger back circumference, so the bra will certainly not stretch too much under the breast.
BUT that means that you have to adjust your LETTER.
If your number goes up, your letter goes down.
This means that you then take 80A.
The 80 is the chest circumference, The A is the cup size.

In the table below you can jump from one size to another.

WATCH OUT, if you have a 77cm under bust and a difference of 17.5 cm with your chest circumference, you can jump between 75C and 80B but never to 70D because that 70 is for a very narrow back and you don't have that when you measure 77 cm, that is just a too small bra on the under bust.

In the other direction

You have 78cm SO CHOOSE 80 and chest circumference 96.5. This means that you have an 80C. But you prefer that the bra stretches well under the breast then you go down with the number and up with your letter. This means that you take a 75D.

 So always start from that measured cm BAND MEASUREMENT, that's your guide!

FRENCH SIZES

Very easy, they add 15 cm to the under bust circumference. Why? No idea…
You will have to subtract that 15 cm first and then you have the European size.
This means that you then have the following measurements in your lingerie slide.

     ex / 75B EU =  90B FR ( +15cm)
     80A EU =  95A FR ( +15cm)
